Our Technical Director, Carel Adolfse was invited to join the meeting and share his experiences in respect to traceability of the Fluke FPG8601 low pressure standard and the use of the FPG8601 to calibrate fluid columns.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The presentation Carel gave is available and explains how to perform this calibration. Minerva works with the Fluke FPG8601 on a day to day basis in our ISO\/IEC 17025 accredited lab. Our knowledge and experience in this field is used to improve European traceability.<\/p>\n<p>This project is an excellent example of the joint forces of scientists from EMPIR and practitioners, exclusively from Minerva Metrology and Calibration. The EMPIR calls, launched between 2014 and 2020, have an allocated total budget of 600 M \u20ac, with 300 M \u20ac from the participating states and up to 300 M \u20ac from the European Commission using Article 185 of the European Treaty.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>EMPIR has been initiated as an integrated part of Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
