The Series 7615 Hydraulic Pressure Controller provides a unique, high speed approach to high pressure calibration and testing. Utilizing patented control technology, the 7615 can control to the set-point in five seconds or less for a pressure step up to 4 000 psi. A variety of pressure ranges are available to 40 000 psi (2 750 bar). The unit is compatible with virtually any non-corrosive pressure media including water, synthetic oils, Fluorinert, mineral oil, and others. The 7615 is also available with the Triple Scale / Dual Sensor option which can provide up to six ranges in one instrument.

The Series 7615 Hydraulic Pressure Controller provides a Fast control mode where the pressure setpoint is achieved in typically five seconds or less, even when controlling into a 50 cc load volume! This combination of speed, pressure range and compatibility with virtually any liquid media is unique to the 7615. The 7615 is an excellent choice for automated life cycle/fatigue testing applications, high volume transducer manufacturing such as diesel fuel rail sensors and transducers, high pressure automotive transducers such as those used in braking systems and throttle body sensors along with virtually any application that involves high pressure test or calibration using a liquid media for safety, compatibility or other concerns. The 7615 increases throughput and reduces cost through speed and automation without sacrificing performance. In addition to Fast mode, the 7615 also allows the option of operating in the Normal control mode where the contact parameters are optimized to provide the fastest route of pressure change with minimal overshoot.

Performance

Measure Ranges to 20 000 psia (1400 bar)
  • Precision: 0.01% of range
  • Stability: 0.01% per year
  • Total Uncertainty**: 0.015% of range per year
Ranges above 20 000 psia (1400 bar)
  • Precision: 0.02% of range
  • Stability: 0.02% per year
  • Total Uncertainty: 0.028% of range per year
Precision is defined as the combined effects olinearity, repeatability, hysteresis and temperature effects over the entire operating temperature range 0 °F to 122 °F (-18 °C to 50 °C). Expression of accuracy (uncertainty) conforms with the recommendations of the ISO guide to the expression of uncertainty in measurement and includes RSS of precision, stability, temperature effects, and the calibration standard to 2 sigma (95%).
Control
  • Ranges to 20,000 psia (1400 bar); 0.01% maximum full scale (FS)
  • Ranges above 20,000 psia (1400 bar); 0.02% maximum FS
Low control point: When controlling from a higher pressure to a lower pressure, low control point is 400 psig (27 bar). Unit can be vented to 0 psig (0 bar).
